Paul was one of the six original co-founders of Edge Capital in 2006 and has transitioned to being an advisor to the firm. Paul credits Warren Buffett, another long-term thinker, for this guidance on value creation, “Lessons for small business owners – This one is pretty easy. Don’t be a jerk. Take care of the people around you. And use your success to help others.”

Prior to starting Edge, Paul served in senior management roles with Credit Suisse and Morgan Stanley. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religious Studies from the University of Virginia and was a student of the Dalai Lama. He also played in several homecoming games in the Southeast Conference, Southwest Conference, and Atlantic Coast Conference as a running back for the Cavaliers’ football team. Paul remains actively involved with the University of Virginia as a fundraiser and Board Member for the Jefferson Scholars Foundation, an organization that provides full four-year scholarships for the top students in the country. He has recently served on the Investment Committee for Westminster Schools in Atlanta and as a member of the Board of Trustees and Investment and Finance Committees for the Schenck School, which focuses on educating students with learning challenges. Paul enjoys hunting, fishing, and golf.
